Tutor
Michele is an experienced educator working with senior secondary and university students across a wide range of academic tasks and assessments, including HSC and IB. She provides tutoring, academic mentoring and advanced proof-reading, and has supervised University of Sydney Masters students in Education as well as edited undergraduate work, Masters theses and Books prior to publication. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with a Diploma of Education and has served as Head of Pastoral Care and Head of Gifted Education in Sydney private schools.
Counsellor
Michele is highly trained in psychotherapy and provides one-to-one and relationship counselling for young people and adults. Her work focuses on communication, emotional insight, and practical strategies that support personal growth, resilience, and healthier relationships. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Individual and Relationship Counselling from the Jansen Newman Institute and brings a strong therapeutic and educational foundation to her counselling practice.
Presenter
In addition to her student and counselling work, Michele developed and delivered psychotherapy and communication programs for medical professionals. She also facilitated and presented workshops for General Practitioners across Australia and was invited to contribute to Communicating in Primary Care programs both nationally and internationally. Her facilitation style combined clinical understanding with practical communication tools that translated directly into professional practice.

Michele Vuaran is a highly qualified tutor and counsellor with more than 40 years of experience across teaching, counselling, and research. She is recognised for her integrated approach, combining educational expertise with psychotherapy principles to support students and young people in a genuinely holistic way. Her work focuses on understanding each individual’s strengths, challenges, and learning style, and tailoring one-to-one support to build confidence, capability, and measurable academic progress.
She has extensive experience supporting students with learning difficulties and senior secondary pathways, including HSC and International Baccalaureate levels. Many students continue to seek her guidance into their university years for mentoring, academic support, and proof-reading. Michele’s approach brings together structured learning strategies and therapeutic insight, enabling her to address both performance and wellbeing factors that influence outcomes.
In addition to her student work, Michele contributes to professional education in the health sector. She has developed and presented Communicating in Primary Care programs for General Practitioners across Australia and internationally, and has facilitated psychotherapy workshops for GPs nationwide. Her broader professional background includes senior pastoral and gifted education leadership roles in Sydney private schools.
Michele holds a Bachelor of Arts with a Diploma of Education from UNSW (including two years of Honours study in Geography), along with a Teacher’s Certificate from the NSW Department of Education. She also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Individual and Relationship Counselling at the Jansen Newman Institute and a Certificate of Gifted Education from UNSW. In addition, she holds Alliance Française language certificates (premier to cinquième grade) and maintains a current Working with Children Check. She also undertook and completed two years of an accelerated SAB program at the University of Sydney.
